Instructor
Susan Dixon, owner
of Momentum Fitness Studio, offers Pilates-inspired personal training
and Yoga for conditioning the whole body. Trained and certified in Pilates
technique by Polestar® Education (Balanced Body® Method), and
the Physicalmind Institute® (The Method"), Susan teaches Pilates
to individuals, duets, and small groups. Trained in Hatha yoga, Susan
has studied several styles of yoga including Ashtanga and Iyengar and
is a registered yoga teacher with the Yoga Alliance.
As a personal trainer
and group fitness instructor for the past six years, Susan holds certifications
by the American College of Sports Medicine (ACSM), the American Council
on Exercise (ACE), and the Aquatic Exercise Association (AEA). In addition
to Pilates-inspired personal training, Susan teaches Pilates Mat classes,
indoor cycling, aqua aerobics, and other conditioning classes in Monterey
peninsula fitness facilities.
With degrees in nutrition,
biology, education, and fitness, Susan combines her knowledge, experience
and enthusiasm to assist her clients to achieve lifelong fitness and health
goals. Susan is an educator who facilitates and motivates her clients
to make fitness lifestyle changes by creating individualized programs
for each persons specific health and fitness goals.
Susan supports her
clients efforts to achieve a balance between mind, body, and spirit
through strong partnerships. Lifelong fitness requires more than a good
coach but requires personal motivation, hard work and discipline. Susan
creates individualized programs that promise to be challenging, fun and
motivating.
