of the individual client. Programs emphasize the principles of Pilates
teaching a may include work on specialized Pilates equipment, as
well as floor work using small apparatus. Pilates equipment includes the
Universal Reformer, the Cadillac/Trapeze Table, and the Combo Chair. This
specialized equipment utilizes spring resistance to strengthen muscles
groups with reduced joint stress. Clients are closely supervised for proper
form and alignment to maximize the benefits of each exercise.
Sports
specific training programs focus on improving general conditioning, agility,
balance and sport specific neuromuscular function.
Weight
Management
Successful weight
management combines physical activity and healthy eating. For the motivated
client, supervised programs include aerobic exercise, strength training
to increase muscle mass and metabolism, nutrition and dietary guidance,
and periodic body composition analysis to track progress.
